We at Assured value you as a customer and it is our responsibility to provide you with our policy to protect your privacy. You do not have to take action because of this Notice.  This Notice applies to your interaction with AssuredOne, Inc., and its affiliated company, Assured Enterprises, Inc. Only AssuredOne™ is responsible for your insurance needs.  Assured Enterprises is responsible for the pre-breach and other cybersecurity goods and services which are available in one-stop shopping on this site.  The term “Assured” applies to both AssuredOne™ and Assured Enterprises.

Assured collects nonpublic personal information about you, your family members, your employees or your business in connection with your insurance and cybersecurity transactions with us. Personal information, as used in this Notice, means information that identifies an individual personally and is not otherwise available to the public. The type of information collected varies depending on the type of product, service, policy or coverage that you buy.

Assured’s overriding privacy principle is that your personal information provided to us by you is just that: personal and private. As such, we will never sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your personal information to anyone except to provide our services or as otherwise described in this Policy, without providing explicit notice of such and the ability to opt-out. Please note that our services may require us to share and disclose your personal information for the purposes of underwriting (re)insurance or improving insurance products.  We intend to anonymize any such information or to contact you with the opportunity to opt-out.  This Notice may be updated from time to time.

Disclosure

We DO NOT DISCLOSE any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by the law. Assured may exchange information with its affiliates, to the extent permitted by the law, to service or improve service on customers’ accounts, to offer new or improved products and services, to help in the evaluation of or to manage cyber risk and to perform other financial service-related activities. Also, WE DO NOT SELL OR PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION WE GATHER TO THIRD PARTIES who may wish to provide you with information about their products or services.  We do share information between Assured entities and on a non-personally identifiable basis with insurers.  Entities supporting certain of our products may have access to personally identifiable information, on a product specific basis, but only if you receive a separate notice from them, which satisfies the requirements of GDPR, CCPA and any other applicable privacy law or requirement.

Assured’s website, products and services are designed to address cyber risk for businesses.  As part of the ecosystem of each of our clients, naturally, individuals are involved.  Some products and services may offer various types of protection to employees or individuals in the supply chain.  None of our products or services, including insurance, are intended for any individual under the age of 18 (eighteen).  None of our products or services may be acquired by any individual who lacks adequate legal capacity to enter into a contract or secure competent advice, whether on their own or from qualified third parties, to consummate a contract.  We ask clients and prospective clients to please advise us if any individual whose personal identifying information is to be provided is under the age of 18 (eighteen) or lacks legal capacity to participate.

Assured sites include links to other websites whose privacy practices may differ from those of Assured. Some links may be with parties located outside of the United States.  If you submit personal information to any of those sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. We encourage you to carefully read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Assured takes commercially reasonable steps to protect information we receive from our clients and prospective clients. from loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and/or destruction. Assured maintains physical, electronic, and managerial procedures designed to safeguard and secure such information; however, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us in connection with our services.

Electronic Communications and Electronic Signatures

When using AssuredOne™ for insurance and Assured Enterprises and its affiliates for online products and services, you consent to use electronic communications, electronic records, and electronic signatures rather than paper documents for the forms provided on this web site. By doing so, you agree to be legally bound by your electronic signature, with the same effect as if you had affixed your signature to a paper document or a document in any other form.  When Assured or its affiliates provide you an electronic notification indicating a document is available electronically and we do in fact make it available online, our provision of such a document, questionnaire, report or other electronic communication shall have the same meaning and effect as if we provided a paper document to you, whether or not you choose to view it. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and non-disclosure of all Assured communications from Assured and its affiliates, including, but not limited to competitors of Assured.  Your consent to use electronic signatures and documents applies to materials related to purchasing and effecting your insurance policy and any cybersecurity or data breach related goods or services.

You may withdraw your consent to receive electronic communications at any time. If you wish to do so, you must email us at info@assured.enterprises with the following subject line: “Attn: Legal–WITHDRAW ELECTRONIC CONSENT.” Please include in the body of the email your full name, policy number, name of service, product or suite you have purchased, effective and expiration dates of the policy, the effective date of your withdrawal of electronic consent, and whether you want to continue your services and billing subject to our providing you communications requiring signatures in paper form and/or whether you are requesting that only certain documents such as your insurance policy, assessment reports, regulatory/compliance reports or other documents which you specify and which are intended to contain sensitive data ought to be sent to you in paper form.  Of course, you may also indicate that your withdrawal of electronic consent shall have the effect of terminating your contract(s) with Assured at the next automatic renewal date or that you wish to make other provision for termination. 

 

We have procedures that restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to our employees and others who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your nonpublic personal information.
